Center for the Study of Global Change - Graduate Student Study Group

The Center for the Study of Global Change is pleased to announce the first meeting of our Graduate Student Study Group in Global Studies for the 2016-2017 academic year. The purpose of this group is to provide a platform for IUB graduate students whose research is concerned with global phenomena and who seek a collaborative and interdisciplinary working group that supports their global research and scholarship. The working group is student-driven but will have faculty mentors and will provide opportunities for students to share their research with the IU community and get feedback from multiple disciplinary perspectives. This will be a wonderful opportunity for peer review and for the students to get training in areas that will support their research, careers, teaching, and public engagement.

Our first call-out meeting for this fall is extended to all students representing various fields of inquiry from Area Studies, International Studies, Economics, and Political Science to Public Health, Educational Policy, and Environmental Science (and many more). If your students pursue research that challenges borders or are interested in developing analytic and methodological frameworks for their global research, please encourage them to join us for our call-out meeting on September 30, 12-1 pm in room 3067 in the Global and International Studies Building. Food is provided.
