Most jobs specifically related to the regions and peoples of Central Eurasia are posted to the Central-Eurasia-L Announcement List for Central Eurasian Studies World Wide mailing list hosted by Harvard University. The maling list link above provides an archive of past postings and details how one may subscribe to the list.
Career development events happening on campus that are most relevant to our constituency are posted in our news section. The views reflected in any job posting or on any web site linked below do not necessarily reflect the views of the Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center. Organizations and Career Networks
- The U.S. State Department's International Visitor Program needs short-term interpreters for all languages.
- The Chronicle of Higher Education provides a career network job listing, sorted by field and updated weekly.
- The American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages job index includes many openings in academia, business, as well as EFL jobs.
- The International Research and Exchange Board (IREX) lists current career opportunities with the organization.
- The Eurasia Foundation lists jobs opportunities with the organization.
- European job recruitment at Eurojobs.com.
- The Indiana Alumni Association maintains a web site designed to help IU graduates find jobs.
- Visit http://www.onelist.com/subscribe/nisjobs to gain access to jobs related to the former Soviet Union in the non-profit sector.
- USAJOBS is the U.S. Government's official site for jobs and employment information provided by the United States Office of Personnel Management.
- For Indiana University students, IU's Career Development Center's web site contains a listing of on an off-campus jobs, as well as programs designed to help in the job search process.
- American Economic Association's Job Openings for Economists has openings posted approximately seven times per year.
- IU's Russian and East European Institute maintains a job site.
- The American Embassy in Budapest maintains a personnel site for jobs at the Embassy itself.
- Dave's ESL Cafe Job Center has ESL jobs listed from all over the world. There are sections for posting "jobs wanted" as well as position announcements.
- The National Adjunct Faculty Guild's Jobs List posts between 400-500 job listings per month for adjunct, part-time, full-time temporary, visiting & full-time regular faculty, and staff.
