Indiana University at Black Expo
IU’s partnership with Indiana Black Expo, Inc. (IBE) includes year-round initiatives aimed at getting more young African Americans to attend college, programs that provide information and incentives to prospective college students, and participation in IBE’s Summer Celebration.
Indiana University has long participated in the Summer Celebration, which each July draws more than 300,000 visitors to the week-long event at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome in Indianapolis. In 2005, all eight IU campuses got involved, and now each has a presence at the summer exposition.
In addition to the IU exhibition this year’s events include:
- IU Jazz Brunch July 20, 2013, from 10:00am - 1:00pm in the Indiana Convention Center Room 101-102.
- IU Ice Cream Social, July 20, 2013, 1:00pm - 3:00pm in the Indiana Convention Center Room 109-110.
- Real Talk, July 20, 2013, 2:15pm - 4:30pm in the Indiana Convention Center Room 126-127.
- Celebrity Basketball Game, July 20, 2013, 5:30pm in the Indiana Convention Center Hall A.
