Indiana
University's Department of Telecommunications has supported research in
the field in the Institute for Communication Research since 1974.
Today, subjects of study cover a wide range of topics: cognitive processing
of media, effects of media violence and sexuality on individuals and society,
stigma of mental illness, modern forms of television journalism, and effects
of video game design on players.
Located on the 6th floor of Eigenmann Hall, the facility includes three
self-contained psychophysiology labs, digital video and audio editing suites,
and ten computers equipped with Media Lab data collection software.
