The ICR @ IU is a 1,500 square feet facility on the West wing of the 6th floor of Eigenmann Hall on the Bloomington campus.
There are three complete physiology labs where cognitve and emotional responses to media can be measured using heart rate (EKG), skin conductance (EDR), facial muscle activity (EMG), and eyeblink startle.
Stimuli can be shown on screens of various sizes.

Physiology data is collected using Coulbourn Instruments located in a separate room behind the participant. Researchers can watch the participant, as well as the stimuli being shown through a series of monitors.

Data analysis is conducted using VPM--software developed by Ed Cook of UAB--or Biopac's Acqknowledge software.

Experiments not requiring physiology data collection are conducted in the ICR's Flexible Research Space. Media stimuli are presented on laptops, with participants entering responses directly into the dataset using MediaLab or DirectRT software.
