Content analysis Banner

This lab is configured for content analysis of video media. Four desktop computers are equipped to record, store, and replay a variety of video media, including cable television programming. Network attached storage devices provide the memory required for large scale, multiyear, longitudinal analyses. Coding is accomplished with Palm Z22 Handheld PDAs.

This lab is also configured for individual subject participation.  Experiments are conducted using video stimuli or web pages stored locally for control or through the World Wide Web.  Media Lab and Direct RT software is installed to allow for researcher control over stimuli delivery as well as a measurement of a range of dependent variables from self-reported scales to secondary task reaction time (STRT).
