Indiana University has supported research investigating the Media Arts & Sciences since 1971 in the Institute for Communication Research. 

Located in Franklin Hall, the ICR includes 9 research rooms--four with psychophysiological recording capability (including one eye tracking lab), a focus group room, an interview room, two survey research rooms, a content analysis room--digital video and audio editing suites, and computers equipped with software designed for questionnaire design, survey research, and data analysis.
