Experiments not requiring physiology data collection are often conducted in the ICR's Laptop Lab. Designed to allow maximum flexibility for the researcher, laptops may be configured in a variety of participant-seating arrangements. Media stimuli are presented using MediaLab or DirectRT software which also stores responses directly into the a researcher database. Common measures used in the ICR Laptop Lab include self-report responses, signal detection memory measures, response latency, continuous response measurement, and secondary-task reaction times.
IU faculty and students in the College of Arts and Sciences can also create online survey data collection instruments using Qualtrics. Visit the Social Science Research Commons for more information.
