Distance Education Forum: Online Communication Collaboration Tools
The Office of Instructional Consulting is proud to host the third in a series of forums on distance education and online learning. In this session, we will primarily focus on synchronous or real-time communication and collaboration tools, provide general guidelines for hosting web conferences, and offer insight into the teacher as well as student experience. Among several applications, we introduce you to Adobe Connect (formerly Macromedia Breeze), a web collaboration tool supported by Indiana University that provides a virtual classroom environment for sharing presentations, images, and desktop applications with remote participants/students. You can also take advantage of features like a digital whiteboard, text chat, polling, and audio/video communication.
