Buddy System
What is it?
- Assist new students by answering their concerns before they travel to IU
- Buddies act as an after-office-hours orientation team
- Buddies provide valuable advice and suggestions to new students.
- Currently there are approx. 30 buddies – Japan, China, India, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Taiwan etc.
How does it work?
- Anyone can choose an IFA Board member as their buddy
- Especially new students will be assisted with
- Transportation details to/from the airport,
- Finding a suitable apartment/dorm,
- Computing and more.
- Through events and small weekend get-togethers, buddies can make new friends, help out with academics, and add to the whole college experience
