T he International Friendship Association is an excellent resource for incoming students who seek information that will help them get settled at Indiana University.

IFA members are familiar with campus and community life, ad have a great deal of practical information to offer new international students. One of this association's assets is its commitment to global unity through inclusion of various international student organizations in an effort to promote diversity on campus while working together as a whole.

IU international students enrich our campus tremendously. They bring awareness of other cultures to the U.S. American students who may not have traveled to other countries or studied other cultures. IFA acts as a link for new international students who are looking for a way to adjust to a new cultural setting while making new friends.

As an advisor to IFA, I have had the pleasure to see the group reach out to other students successfully. IFA has promoted friendships since its creation and has consistently played a supportive and inclusive role to new students.

New and exciting opportunities are available to its members as several organizations join forces to welcome new students and become goodwill ambassadors. IFA's diverse Board members represent a variety of countries, all united to act as a support system for incoming international students.
