Human Interface Designer
Statement of job responsibilities:
- Defining requirements and designing the human interfaces for
networking and communications products.
- Works with interdisciplinary team to conduct user studies, define
user experience requirements, generate creative human interface
designs, develop prototypes, perform usability testing, and monitor
design implementation.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work independently
- Understanding Macintosh architecture and technical constraints
- Keep up with industry trends
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior experience in a commercial software development environment and
familiarity with the Macintosh human interface is essential.
- MS or PhD in Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Interface Design,
Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years human interface design experience
- Strong prototyping skills and sensitivity to visual design issues
- Knowledge of OpenDoc familiarity with other GUI's and Mac programming
skills a plus.

Graphical Designer
Statement of job responsibilities:
- Design and develop user interface/product design across multiple
platforms
- Work with product managers, software engineers and multimedia
developers to design and prototype information products for the Internet,
MS Windows and interactive CD-ROM
- Design and conduct front end analysis using task analysis,
interviewing, focus groups, product concept testing, and requirements
gathering and validatation
- design and develop usability test plans, conduct usability tests,
provide design recommendations based on test results.
Requirements:
- Minimum B.S./B.A. in Human factors Engineering, Human Factors
Psychology or related discipline(M.S./M.A. preferred)
- 8+ years experience
- 2 years experience in the software industry and recent Internet
activity including HTML page and site design
- Project leadership experience required

Requirements:
- Must be a communications professional who is intrigued by the promise
of new technologies and enjoys the challenge of integrating complex
information into a cohesive system.
- Must be able to research a content area quickly, analyze the
structure, develop organizational concepts, and synthesize these ideas
into a comprehensive information architecture.
- Must be able to establish information hierarchies, apply interface
design principles, and work well within a team.
- Senior information designers must be experienced team leaders.
- Background in any of the following areas a plus: usability testing,
interface design, information graphics, technical writing,
highly-structured copywriting, graphic design systems, or marketing
communications.

Human Interface Designer

or hand-holding.

- Advanced degree ins some visual arts, graphic design, psychology,
human interface, etc.
- Plus skills - knowledge of industry standards for OpenDoc, OLE, NT,
and OS/2 user interfaces.
