The Indiana Magazine of History provides you with access to a number of Indiana History resources.
The Indiana Magazine of History Online offers searchable access to the full text and images from all but the most recent two years of the IMH. The project to digitize the IMH was supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act administered by the Indiana State Library. Thanks to this funding, the Indiana Digital Library Program, in partnership with the IMH, has made more than a century's worth of scholarship on Indiana history freely and widely available.
The Online Index of IMH articles covers the journal's contents from its first issue in 1905 (Volume XXVI) to 2004. Developed prior to the digitization of the IMH, this index provides only citation information without linking directly to the source of each citation. Nevertheless, it is still useful for basic subject searches that are not yet included in the search capabilities of the Indiana Magazine of History Online. To learn more about the cataloging processes of the IMH index, and the other full-text databases that supplement it, click here.
Users at institutions that participate in JSTOR's Arts & Sciences VIII Collection are able to browse, search, download, and print the full-text PDF versions of all past
articles from the first issue up to the most recent two years. Users at institutions that participate in JSTOR's new Current Scholarship Program will also
be able to access all articles from 2004 through the most recent issue of the magazine.
The History Cooperative offers free access to the full text of recent IMH issues. Access is granted to anyone visiting The History Cooperative site via a member university or archive or to individual IMH subscribers with an access number.
Subscribers may also use EBSCO Academic Search Premier database to view the full text of IMH issues dating from 2001 through one year prior to the most recent issue.
A list of classic, popular and frequently-requested articles (as full text PDFs) is available here.
Voices from the Past offers the full text of many primary source materials (letters, diaries, memoirs) that have appeared in the pages of the IMH.
Indiana History Links provides access to other academic and public web sites with Indiana and midwestern connections.
