VOICES FROM THE PAST: USERS GUIDE
These primary source documents, originally published in the IMH, are organized by topic, and arranged alphabetically by author (or, in the case of unknown or numerous authors, by title).
From the basic topical listing, click to open a PDF of the document or click on the "More Information" button to open a window giving you the full citation of the document, an abstract of its content, some selected quotations, and the appropriate Library of Congress subject headings. Please note that you must have pop-up windows enabled on your web browser to use this feature.
Searching: You may run a keyword search across all of the "More Information" windows. Click the "Complete List of Page Contents" link. In Explorer or Netscape, hold down Control + F and type the keyword (for example, "Gettysburg" for every Civil War document that includes that place).
