Crayfishes of Indiana

The crayfishes and freshwater shrimps of Indiana is a comprehensive treatment of all species occurring in the political boundaries of the state. The State of Indiana includes 28 species of crayfish and two species of freshwater shrimp. Specific information on distribution, natural history, age and growth, and taxonomy will be described for the first time from Indiana material.

The compilation of crayfish and freshwater shrimp species list was published in the [Checklist of Indiana shrimp and crayfish]. This document summarized the presence of 21 species of crayfish and 2 species of freshwater shrimp.
