This class is about programming using JAVA.

Course Objectives:
This course is designed as a fundamental class for those who are non-major in Computer or Information Technology and as a first class for those who plan to continue with a Computer or Information Technology degree. Students can have an understanding of computer systems and how thay are programmed to accomplish the needs of today’s society.

At the completion of this course the student should:

  • Understand the fundamentals of computer science nomenclature, particularly with respect to personal computer hardware and software and the World Wide Web.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of why computers are essential components in the business world and society in general
  • Gain an appreciation of the Wold Wide Web as a repository of information and a learning tool
  • Appreciate the computer as a valuable productivity tool
  • Recognize the personal computer’s position as the backbone of the computer industry and understand its use as a networked device
  • Be familiar with computer science terminology and how it would be useful in purchasing a personal computer system
  • Be able to write small programs in scratch and gain an appreciation for the skills and responsibilities of computer professionals.
  • Be able to write a simple program in Android Cell Phone.
  • Be able to use Microsoft office
  • Be able to make some multimedia content.
