Answering the call: Carnegie Selects Colleges and Universities for 2010 Community Engagement Classification

Indiana Campus Compact Members among the 115 colleges and universities nationwide to receive the classification in 2010.

Indiana Campus Compact is delighted to announce that seven of its member campuses have been selected by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching for its 2010 Community Engagement Classification.  Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, Purdue University North Central, Saint Mary’s College, Taylor University, the University of Indianapolis, and the University of Notre Dame were selected for classification based on their significant commitment to and demonstration of community engagement.  In order to be selected, institutions were required to provide descriptions and examples of institutionalized practices of community engagement which showed alignment among mission, culture, leadership, resources, and practices.  Read full press release.
