There appears to be some rare mo­mentum in Wash­ington for biparti­san compro­mise on both a con­gres­sion­al jobs package and the bud­get cuts to be reached by the Super Committee. While this is promis­ing, vital national ser­vice programs like AmeriCorps and VISTA, a source of tremendous sustainable val­ue to communities through­out Indiana, have not been a part of this national conver­sa­tion.
