Indiana College Students Will Address Rural Community Needs
Students from Indiana Campus Compact member campuses across the state will be participating in a week-long alternative break focusing on rural poverty issues in Grant County.
INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Campus Compact is partnering with Taylor University to host “Addressing Rural Community Needs,” an alternative break experience for Indiana college students. From May 21 through May 26, 2012, a group of students from various Indiana Campus Compact member campuses will spend the week learning about the issues affecting rural community members. . During this trip, students will engage in a unique experiential learning opportunity by performing volunteer service and addressing a critical need affecting our state. Students will also gain valuable skills, resources, training, and support for implementing effective Alternative Break programs on their campus.
