Laura Weaver, Purdue University North Central, recognized for her work in service engagement

Laura Weaver, Service Learning Coordinator,  has been with the PNC Center for Service Learning & Leadership since its development in 2008. She assists faculty in developing and enhancing service learning and engagement courses, advises student organizations in the planning and implementation of community engagement projects and partners with community organizations to create campus-community partnerships. She was named the 2012 Indiana Campus Compact Outstanding Community Service Director Award recipient and is the Indiana Campus Compact 2011-2012 Senior Community Service Director Fellow.

When presenting the awards, PNC Chancellor Dr. James B. Dworkin noted, "Our greatest PNC resources are its human resources. Without the dedication and hard work by all faculty and staff, we would not be able to accomplish so many things during this past year. Together, everything is possible."
