This special concert will honor Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887-1959) on the fiftieth anniversary of his death, and celebrate the ninetieth birthday of Chilean composer Juan Orrego-Salas (born 1919), who founded the Latin American Music Center. New work dedicated to Villa-Lobos by Uruguayan composer Elbio Barilari will also be featured.
