Volunteering at the International Center

Volunteer opportunities are available at the International Center.  If you are interested in any of the positions listed below, please come to the second floor of the center where you can fill out a Volunteer Application form

Receptionists

Greet people, answer questions from guests, receive phone calls and help with clerical tasks.

Noon Concert Assistants

Assist with luncheon preparation and cleanup.

Friday Coffee Hour Assistants

Assist with preparation, coordination and cleanup.

Practical English Tutorial (PET) Program Tutors

Help International students with their English conversation skills in an informal environment.

International Scholars Luncheon Series Program Assistants

Assist with luncheon preparation, serving and cleanup.

International Spouses Circle Assistants

Assist with program coordination, luncheon preparation, related clerical tasks and cleanup.

Tax Assistant

The VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) staff is trained to assit non-resident aliens in filling out State and Federal Income tax forms.  Training and IRS Certification are provided through the International Center.  Services are needed from January to April every year.
