International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the US Department of State and the US Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.

As part of the Office of International Services, the Leo R. Dowling International Center serves as Indiana University’s hub for cultural, educational and social programs and activities for international students and visiting scholars, including their families. Members of the IU and Bloomington communities are also welcome to take part and learn about global cultures.
Join us for a visit to the “windy city!” Come and experience the sights, sounds and rich culture of Chicago. After stopping at the Millennium park on famous Michigan Avenue, you will be free to explore the many city’s attractions such as the “Magnificent Mile” with its many shops and restaurants, the Navy Pier, the museums, the Lincoln Park Zoo, the architectural river tours, and more.
