Bloomington Worldwide Friendship

This page gives you information about an exciting opportunity available to new international students in Bloomington—to meet and become friends with residents of the local community.  It is offered by an organization called Bloomington Worldwide Friendship (BWF).  Here is a message from BWF’s co-presidents, Hiromi Sumiyoshi and Harriet Kulis:

Hello!  We want to send you a first welcome before you arrive in Indiana.  Bloomington Worldwide Friendship is an independent organization that matches international students at Indiana University with members of the community for friendship purposes.  Our mission is to help create a world of friends through your getting to know our customs and our getting to know yours.  Many students have established long-term friendships as a result of our program.  Everybody gains, and we hope the world does too.

If you would like to be included, please send an email to bwf@indiana.edu.  We will look for community residents who want to become acquainted with an international student.  There is no cost to you except for the time spent with your community friends.  You can also visit their website.
