Transportation to Bloomington

We know that many of you will be flying in to the Indianapolis Airport when you arrive.  This page provides suggestions for transportation to Bloomington.  After collecting your luggage from the Baggage Claim area at the airport, you will exit the building and see Ground Transportation across the street.  We recommend using one of the following transportation services (reservations are suggested):

Bloomington Shuttle (812-332-6004 or 800-589-6004)

The Bloomington Shuttle offers service from the airport to Bloomington from 6:40am to 10:40pm and costs $25 for one-way fare.  For more information about this Service, go to http://www.bloomingtonshuttle.com/shuttle.html.  To view the schedule, go to http://www.bloomingtonshuttle.com/airport.html, and for Frequently Asked Questions, please visit http://www.bloomingtonshuttle.com/faqs.html.  The Bloomington Shuttle provides direct service from the airport to 2 locations on IU’s campus: McNutt dormitory and the Indiana Memorial Union (IMU).

If you plan to take a taxi to your accomodations upon your arrival in Bloomington, here are two taxi cab companies located in Bloomington:

Classic Touch Limousine Service (812-339-7269 or 800-319-0082)

Taxi Service:

Taxi service is available on the Terminal side of Lower Terminal Drive.  Push the taxi call button curbside at the taxi areas to call your cab.  Please be aware that it may cost around $100 to get to Bloomington using a taxi!  Please consult your driver for rates before choosing to take a taxi.  Note that it is appropriate to tip your driver.
