Olga Kalentzidou has been selected as a Project Engage Fellow for the summer of 2014 to create a new service learning course, “Food and Nationalism,” for 2014 Themester.

Nick CullatherNick Cullather received the Trustee Teaching Award in the At-Large Smaller Department Faculty group.

Stepanka KorytovaStepanka Korytova was presented with the Gerald I. Lamkin Excellent in Instruction Award on February 22, 2014. The Lamkin Award is presented annually to one adjunct faculty member of Ivy Tech College who best typifies excellence in instruction.

Stephanie KaneStephanie Kane has received a 2013-2014 Fulbright award; she will be Resident Chair in Environmental Sciences at the University of Winnipeg during Fall 2014. Dr. Kane was also awarded a Sustainability Course Development Fellowship for 2014 for “Nature and the City: RIVERS,” which will include both on-campus and overseas components. Additionally, she will be a faculty exchange fellow at the University of Zagreb in Spring 2015 focusing on "Engineering Nature on the Pannonian Plain: An Ethnography of the Sava River in the City of Zagreb."

Stuff HappensAmbassador Rajendra Abhyankar’s new book, Stuff Happens:  An Anecdotal Insight into Indian Diplomacy was published by  Har-Anand Publications and was released on 11 July 2013 in New Delhi.

Catherine Krege and Elizabeth Nixon were awarded the 2014 David E. Albright Memorial Scholarship.

Alyssa Kelly received the 2014 Kate Hevner Mueller Outstanding Senior Award.

Lila Raouf and Allison Yates will be presenting their research at the Middle Eastern Studies Symposium at California State University in May 2014.

Allison Yates was among the recipients of the 2014 Provost's Award for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity for her project titled "Pragmatic Variation in Service Encounters in Argentine Spanish."
