Abbreviations

A & H: Course fulfills an Arts and Humanities distribution requirement.

S & H:  Course fulfills a Social and Historical Studies distribution requirement.

N & M: Course fulfills a Natural and Mathematical Sciences distribution requirement.

TFR:  Course fulfills the Topics/Freshman Seminar Requirement.

CSA: Course from Culture Studies List A.

CSB: Course from Culture Studies List B.

R: Recommended prerequisite. Consult the Bulletin for more information about specific recommendation.

P: Required prerequisite. Consult the Bulletin for more information about the specific requirement.

 

Important Notes

1 INTL students must take required prerequisites or arrange consent of instructor.

2 Majors are allowed one thematic below the 300/400-level with INTL department approval. Minors take both thematic courses at the 300/400 level.

3 INTL students are limited in the number of hours they can take outside the College of Arts and Sciences that will count toward their degree.

§         A maximum of 22 hours of outside coursework count towards degree. 

§         A minimum of 25 College of Arts and Sciences hours is required for a major in the   College.  [Advisor’s note: The INTL major is 30 hours.]

§         A minimum of 15 hours of College coursework is required for the minor.  [Advisor’s Note: The minor is 15 hours.]

4 Topics vary under this course number. Only the course title listed fulfills the requirement.

    INTL students must take the INTL core course that corresponds to their chosen thematic emphasis.
