IRAP Year 1: Inquiry Phase 5 - Analyzing and Interpreting

Now that you've spent time looking and listening to collect information that will help you make sense of your inquiry question, it is time to organize your records of what you heard and saw to make some sense of what it all means. In other words, it is time to analyze and interpret it. When you analyze and interpret information, you draw conclusions about what it might be telling you.

What's important in this phase is that you keep an open mind about what you might learn. Try not to read your data with the goal of making it tell you what you want to hear. Equally important is not to ignore what it might tell you about teaching and learning that is not directly related to your inquiry question.
