IRAP Year 1: Inquiry Phase 6 - Developing an Action Plan

During this phase of the inquiry project you will develop a plan for making changes to certain aspects of your instruction in light of what you learned from your analysis in phase 5. This is called your "action plan."

The ultimate goal of your inquiry project is for you to better understand and make positive changes to your practices related to literacy instruction. Therefore, you'll want to take what you've learned and decide how best to proceed with your new understandings. Doing so, in essence, completes this inquiry cycle. However, since our understandings, skills, and knowledge are never complete, inquiry is truly an ongoing process in which we are constantly asking  questions that arise while inquiring about other questions, and then deciding upon ways to make sense of these new questions. Therefore, part of your action plan may be to pursue new questions that have arisen as a result of your project.
