In August 1999 IU School of Law, on the Indiana University-Bloomington campus,  was awarded a  major grant by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the US Department of State to establish a long-term partnership with the Higher Law School "Adilet". This partnership will include more than two dozen faculty exchanges, support for faculty development programs,  enhancement of library and technology resources, and provision of distance education between IU School of Law and the Higher Law School "Adilet".  The primary contact for this program at IU is Dr. Joseph Hoffman (Joseph Hoffman; Tel: 812-855-6150).
