Partnership in American Studies between
Indiana University and Baku State University

With funding support from the US State Department Indiana University and Baku State University (BSU) have created an American Studies Center at BSU. The center has three major goals:

  • Create a base of information about American Studies in Azerbaijan;
  • Promote administrative reform at BSU; and
  • Disseminate information on American Studies beyond academic audiences in Azerbaijan.

The IU-BSU partnership includes creation of an American Studies library and computer lab at the American Studies Center, exchanges of US and Azerbaijani scholars, and workshops and lectures on American Studies and academic reform.
