On
a contractual basis, CIEDA organizes workshops and seminars on variety
of topics of interest to visiting scholars, government and
non-governmental organizations and overseas sponsors. Typically, a
workshop or seminar will be a week or less in duration.
Programs are organized on-site at Indiana University as well as
at other locations in the US and abroad.
Facilities
for meetings on the Indiana University campus include hotel, meeting
rooms, and catering at the Indiana
Memorial Union sufficient to accommodate groups of from 3 to 300,
numerous lecture halls on campus with the full range of
audio visual capabilities, and state-of-the-art distance
education studios to bring in speakers via interactive video (see Videoconferencing).
In
preparing workshops for counterparts, CIEDA draws upon the research and
expertise of Indiana University faculty and staff, governmental and
non-governmental organizations, private business and technical
specialists from throughout the US--as required by the needs of the
participants. CIEDA has
collaborated with units at Indiana University to develop seminars,
workshops and presentations on the following topics:
