Global Management Development Program, Germany

German Flag

During the Spring of 1998 and 1999, the Global Programs Office designed and carried out an intensive two-week management training program for graduate-level students from Europe.  The program, cosponsored by the German business school ESB Reutlingen and the Steinbeis Foundation of Stuttgart, took place at the Kelley School of Business in early April.  Student participants all held advanced degrees in engineering or the sciences, but had little business education or experience.  The GPO’s seminar represented an international component for the Reutlingen-Steinbeis overall 10-month management training program.  Students were exposed to a US approach to international management and immersed in an educational environment that was extremely challenging – intellectually, linguistically, and culturally.  The primary contact at IU for this program is Louise Siffin (Louise Siffin; Tel: 812-855-3365)
