Arabic Literature Club
It's our pleasure to invite you to join our small Arabic literature club headed by Ms. Noha Hendi, the Islamic Studies Program's visiting Fulbright scholar from Egypt. The club is open to people who are interested in learning more about famous Egyptian writers and other authors of great literary works in Arabic. The club will focus on works that are not widely known outside of the Arabic speaking world. Later in the year, contemporary works will be introduced.
If you are interested in joining, you need to be able to read texts in classical Arabic (Fusḥā). Please email nhendi@indiana.edu to reserve your spot in the group and for more details about texts, where to find them, and meeting places. At the moment, the club meets on Fridays at 5pm in the Center for the Study of the Middle East (CSME) at 1105 E. Atwater, Bloomington IN 47401.
Weatherly Hall 114, 400 N. Sunrise Drive, Bloomington, IN 47408
