Mapping the Landscapes of Islamic Studies at IU Conference

Our biennial Mapping conference took place October 15, 2016, and featured presentations by six IU doctoral students. The keynote address was delivered by Chase F. Robinson, Distinguished Professor of History, and President, The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Professor Robinson's talk was titled: "Religion" in the Year 865. Guided Tours of Islamic Art

We hosted free guided tours of Islamic art at both the Lilly Library (9/28/16, 11/9/16, & 3/29/17) and IU's Eskenazi Museum of Art (10/19). The fall 2016 tours were sponsored by Themester 2016, an initiative of the IU College of Arts + Sciences.
