Social Media -- use hashtag #ISMSC
As many of us use the expanding world of social media on a daily basis, the ISMSC-8 committee encourages you to use these platforms to spread the word about the exciting science on display during next month’s meeting.  We encourage you all to follow, tweet, and post pictures from your experience at ISMSC-8 on Twitter.  Please use the hashtag #ISMSC for all of your posts, so other conference attendees can quickly see what seminars, discussions, and discoveries are causing the most buzz in the world of macrocyclic and supramolecular chemistry.

Dates and times of the meeting:
1pm, Sunday 7 July – 1pm, Thursday 11 July, 2013

Award Winners

Congratulations to Eric V. Anslyn, the recipient of the 2013 International Izatt-Christensen Award in Macrocyclic Chemistry

Congratulations to
Tomoki Ogoshi, the winner of the 2013 Cram Lehn Pedersen Prize in Supramolecular Chemistry

Accommodation Updates

DEADLINE: June 17 was the last day for the discounted rooms

ISMSC could pay your stay at the Crystal Gateway Marriott.
Reserve your room at the Crystal Gateway Marriot and your name will automatically be entered into a random drawing to have your hotel bill paid by ISMSC! Each room night reserved equals 1 chance to win. If you reserve a room Sunday - Thursday, your name will be entered 4 times! The lucky winners will be announced on Wednesday evening during the Banquet Dinner.

Participants are strongly encouraged to stay at the Crystal Gateway Marriott.
By filling our room block obligation at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, ISMSC will avoid a hotel surcharge which allow
s the organizers to keep fees reasonable for ISMSC-8 and future ISMSCs.  Our room block begins on Sunday and ends on Thursday (checking in on 7/7 and checking out on 7/11. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated

Use this link to the discounted rooms for the ISMSC-8 (July 7–11) and this link for the normal hotel reservations to book rooms either side of the conference dates.

Please note:
If you are attempting to make your reservation on-line, including nights outside of the block, and there aren’t rooms available, please revise your dates to July 7-11 and then access the hotel website to reserve the other nights you need to stay at the hotel.

Special Double Issue of
Supramolecular Chemistry

You are invited to contribute an original research paper or review article to the special issue to coincide with the 8th International Symposium on Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry.  Special issues enjoy a broader than usual readership due to the excellent science that has always been characteristic of the ISMSC meetings.  Contributed papers can detail the work you or your group members present at ISMSC-8 or work on a different topic, at your discretion.  This special issue will be limited to 30 contributed papers.

We first ask that you contact
Prof. Travis Holman, the handling editor for this Special Issue, to register your interest and a tentative title.

The due date for submissions will be July 1, 2013 just in advance of ISMSC-8.

For more information please see the following webpages which contain information about the journal, the instructions for authors, and the manuscript submission page.
