Advising

Our academic advisors are dedicated to providing our students with the information, resources, and support they need to achieve their goals. They'll help you with everything from exploring your interests to choosing a major to selecting your course work -- making sure you keep an eye on your degree requirements and progress toward graduation.

Your first individual appointment with an academic advisor will be during New Student Orientation in the summer before your freshman year. When your freshman year begins, you'll be introduced to your advisor who will likely have an office right in your residence hall. And then once you choose a major, your advisor will be in that school or college, perhaps even a member of the faculty. No matter who your advisor is, you will meet with him or her regularly and benefit from their expertise.
