IU recognizes both British-style Advanced-level exams (except from
Sri Lanka) and International Baccalaureate (IB) higher-level exams when
awarding credit and course exemptions. We award up to 8 credit hours (per
exam) for IB higher-level scores of 5 or greater. Credit is awarded for
the British Advanced-level exams when a grade of D or higher is
earned.
To be considered for IB credit, have a copy of your result slip sent to
the IU Office of Admissions. In the case of
the British-Style Advanced-level exam, an official, certified copy of the
A-Level Certificate is required.
