Welcome! We're glad you're interested in pursuing your graduate

University Graduate School
The University Graduate School is IU's centralized office
for graduate work leading to advanced academic degrees. It administers the
Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Liberal Studies, Master of
Arts for Teachers, Master of Laws, and the Master of Fine Arts, as well as
all Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.
IU's various other departments and academic schools administer the
university's professional degrees. For more information on specific
degrees and programs, visit our respective professional schools:
Graduate School Admission
Admission for graduate study at IU is granted jointly by the University Graduate School and the department,
program, or school in which you plan to study. Because our admission
process is decentralized, you must apply for admission to a particular
program of study. It is important to read and understand your desired
program's admission procedures, requirements, and deadlines.
Note: If you are a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident who
completed academic work outside the U.S. and would like to apply to a
graduate program, please download the Supplemental
Application for Admission (PDF, 139 KB) and submit it to the Office of
International Admissions for a review of your foreign credentials.
Visit the University Graduate School or your desired program
(listed above) for complete admission information.
International Students
If you're an international student interested in graduate study at IU,
you can find complete information and apply for admission through our Office of
