How you apply to IU will depend on where you're coming from.
- If you are currently a degree-seeking student on one of IU's
regional campuses (IUPUI, IU East, IPFW, IU Kokomo, IU Northwest, IU South
Bend, IU Southeast, or IUPU Columbus), you will complete the application
for Intercampus Transfer.
- If you are applying for transfer admission from any other
accredited two- or four-year college in the United States, you will
complete the Transfer Application for
Admission.
- If you are an international student applying for transfer
admission, you will complete our International
Transfer application.
Intercampus Transfer Students
Students who are attending or have attended one of IU's regional
campuses should see our information for Intercampus
Transfer.
U.S. and International Transfer Students
The Office of Admissions is no longer accepting transfer admission applications for Fall Semester 2008.
There are two ways you can apply to IU:
- Online Application: It's easy to use and secure,
plus it gives you immediate confirmation that we've received your
application.
- Paper Application: If you prefer to use a paper application, you can
download the application now.
Admission Checklist
We make applying to IU as easy as possible. Use this checklist to make
sure you don't miss a step:
- Review our transfer admission
standards and priority
dates.
- Apply online or on paper. We encourage you to use the
Online
Application, but all application methods are treated equally in the
evaluation process.
- Submit the application fee. Our application fee is
$50 ($60 for international students). If you apply online, you will pay
the fee by credit card. If you apply on paper, you can submit a check or
money order.
- Submit your high school transcript. High school
transcripts are required for applicants who have completed fewer than 26
semester hours (or 39 quarter hours) of college course work. Please ask
your high school to send your official transcript directly to IU.
- Submit your college transcript. We require an
official transcript from each college or university you have attended. If
you are currently enrolled, arrange for your official transcript to be
sent directly to IU at the time of application
- Check your application status.
You can check your application status online and see if any of the
required credentials are missing from your file.
- Await your admission decision. We practice rolling admissions
and each application is carefully reviewed by our admissions counselors,
beginning in early fall. You can expect to hear from us six to eight weeks
after we receive your completed application, fee, and transcript(s).
