Visiting Students

A visiting intercampus transfer student is someone who is currently enrolled on another IU campus but would like take classes at IU Bloomington either for the summer or a single semester.

Admission Standards

In order to be eligible to enroll at IU Bloomington as a visiting intercampus transfer student you must meet both of the following criteria at the time of application:

  1. Have completed at least 12 academic credit hours at an IU campus
  2. Have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average in those courses

How to Apply and When

If you meet both of the above criteria and would like to apply as a visiting student, there are two things you need to do:

  1. Review the application deadline for the summer session or semester for which you would like to enroll.

  2. Summer Session or Semester Application Deadline
    Summer Sessions I and/or II April 1
    Fall Semester July 15
    Spring Semester November 1

  3. Complete the online application. It's easy and secure, and we do not charge an application fee for visiting transfers.
