Visiting Masterpieces
The Steven and Dorothea Green Collection
Ambassador to Singapore Steven J. Green and his wife Dorothea have graciously loaned the IU Art Museum a selection of masterworks from their private collection. These six rare and important works of art range from sacred and secular paintings by seventeenth-century Dutch and Flemish masters to a beautiful French Impressionist landscape by Eugene Boudin, a pen and ink drawing by Paul Signac, and a major abstract oil on paper by Robert Motherwell.
We welcome these treasures to our museum, and we thank Ambassador and Mrs. Green for their generosity in sharing them with us. They will be on display in our first floor gallery of Western art until June 2001.
