A student of the sculptors Aube and Gauthier, no record
exists that Virion attended the Ècole des Beaux-Arts,
but he began to exhibit at the Salon des Artistes Français
in 1886. He won an honorable mention in 1893 and a bronze
medal at the Exposition Universelle.
