Grant Opportunites for Advisors:
1.) IU BPC Professional Development Grant:
IU Bloomington Professional Council has a professional development grant for professional staff members. The next grant cycle is due August 1. Please review the requirements and application on their website: http://www.indiana.edu/~iubpc/GrantProgram.htm
2.) NACADA Region V Grants:
NACADA Region V grant cycle is open with applications due by July 15. These are competitive grants that provide advisors with funding for individual scholarship, professional development or group professional development. 3.) NACADA Region V Great Lakes and Great Leaders Program:
Region V has a Great Lakes, Great Leaders Program to promote professional development and mentoring for new advisors from under-represented backgrounds. The program provides funding to attend Regional and National conferences. http://www.nacada.ksu.edu/Regional_Divisions/region5/GreatLakesGreatLeaders.htm
If you do not qualify as a “new advisor” you can also apply to be a mentor in the Great Lakes, Great Leaders program.
