Tuesday, Dec. 2: Giving Back to Africa is showing the film "The Peacekeepers" about the UN's mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, accompanied by a speaker who will discuss the recent events in the DRC. Wylie Hall, Room 105 at 7:30pm.

Wednesday, Dec. 3: STANDFast; sponsored by STAND: A Student Anti-Genocide Coalition. STAND is raising money to protect civilians in Darfur and Burma, where current humanitarian aid projects and peacekeeping efforts have been largely insufficient. Pledge to give up a luxury for the day (a meal, coffee, etc) and then come to break the "fast" at 6pm in Woodburn Hall 007.
Dinner will be provided ($5 donation suggested), and the documentary "The Devil Came on Horseback" will be shown. For more information, see http://www.standnow.org/event/standfast-3

Thursday, Dec. 4: African Languages Club Potluck dinner

Friday, Dec. 5: Daraja Children's Project is having desert and coffee with a speaker from AMPATH (nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for work on HIV relief) at the Leo Dowling International Center at 6:30pm. There will be entertainment and you can buy Christmas presents from Imani workshops, all supporting HIV+ peoples and vulnerable children.

Saturday, Dec. 6: BinGO fight AIDS in the Collins coffee house from 7-9pm. Cost is $5 for a bingo card and there will be prizes such as restaurant gift cards, etc.
