 —  Chinese Language Flagship

The IU Chinese Language Flagship is a pioneering, comprehensive, honors-level program for undergraduates planning for professional careers in business, law, policy, and academia to cultivate the superior Mandarin language skills, knowledge, experiences, and leadership qualities that will facilitate their long-term professional success. This program is geared toward highly motivated, academically invested students, who wish to be competitive in their prospective fields, be it business, political science, or economics. It is intended to supplement and enhance their major courses of study by providing training in Chinese, a language in high demand by corporations, financial firms, and the government.

The Language Flagship involves an intensive language component that is best begun in the first semester of a student's university career. Unfortunately, most incoming students make decisions regarding classes before they arrive on campus. That being the case, many will miss out on the opportunity to be a part of our Flagship program.
