Hello! I am Elizabeth Bercovitz from Indianapolis, Indiana. I am
currently a sophomore majoring in biology, minoring in Spanish and
am a student in the LAMP program. This year, I am serving as the
Community Leader for Forest, the Southeast neighborhood
coordinator, and a community leader coordinator for the program as
a whole; I hope that over the course of the year, I can
successfully carry out activities which will bring together the
Honors students living in Forest and make students more aware of
all the great things Hutton Honors College has to offer. In
addition to being a Community Leader, I am also a vice-committee
chair for the Volunteer Committee of the Honors Student
Association. In high school, I was the co-President of Habitat for
Humanity, the Vice President of Student Council, and a member of
the National Honor Society. I love extracurricular activities and
being actively involved with my school, so I am extremely excited
for this position! I can be reached by email at
ebercovi@indiana.edu.

Hi! My name is Emily Berman and I am the 2008-2009 Head
Community Leader for the Hutton Honors Council Association (HHCA). This
is my third year working for HHCA and my second year working as the Head
Community Leader. I'm a junior from Louisville, Kentucky majoring in
Jewish Studies and Philosophy. Besides working for the honors college, I
am also the Political Advocate for Indiana Israel Public Affairs
Committee (IIPAC), a sister in Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, and member of
the Jewish Studies Student Association. This past summer I interned in
Washington, DC with the Alliance for Justice and now I aspire to go to
law school. Some things that I love are my Bichon Frise and my cat,
raspberries, manatees and country music! I have lived in Israel and I
plan to study abroad either in Florence on Jerusalem next semester. I am
very excited about all the new changes and organization for HHCA this
year! I hope to help the Greek Honors Council more and guide each
Community Leader to become great programmers and leader in their
residence halls. Feel free to e-mail me anytime at eaberman@indiana.edu.

Hi, I'm August Boeglin. I am a freshman business major and the
Read Community Leader. I
have lived in Bloomington, minutes away from campus, nearly my entire
life. As a result, I have always had a strong connection to IU, and have
always known that I would likely end up as a student here. I am majoring
in Business, and find the discipline exciting and challenging. I am also
considering a minor in Spanish, Economics, or Creative Writing, other
subjects that I enjoy. In my spare time, I run and play music (on either
the piano or drums).

Hi! I am Adeel Chaudhry, and I am the Ashton Community Leader
for this year. Hailing from Warsaw, Indiana, I am a sophomore studying
biology and anthropology and hope to pursue a career in medicine and
politics. Besides the Hutton Honors Council Association, I am an active
member of the Student Global AIDS Campaign, serving on both the National
Steering Committee and co-directing the IU chapter, the Timmy
Foundation, serving as treasurer this year, and the STARS research
program. Nigerian by birth and Pakistani by heritage, my interests
include animals, travel, and other cultures. This past spring break, I
was fortunate enough to go on a medical brigade to the Dominican
Republic with the Timmy Foundation (photo), and, this summer, I studied
public health abroad in Russia. These experiences opened my eyes social
justice issues and have greatly influenced my aspirations in life. I am
enthusiastic about the possibilities for Ashton this year and look
forward to working with all the other students. Feel free to email me
at aschaudh@indiana.edu with any comments or suggestions!

My name is Stacy Ezra and I'm the Community Leader for Willkie and the
On-Campus Apartments. At home, I live about 20 minutes from Monticello,
IN (Indiana Beach, anyone?). I'm a sophomore studying Biology and
Spanish and I love LAMP. Last year I was a Community Leader in
Eigenmann, so working with an Honors community living in suites and
apartments will be a new challenge, but my goal is to pull together this
diverse group of students and hopefully create some lasting connections.
My other extra-curricular activities include being an RPS tour guide, a
CBLS (Certificate in the Business of Life Sciences) Student Associate,
and an active member of the Science Outreach Society. You can contact
me at sdezra@indiana.edu.

Hello. My name is David Greco, and I am a 2008-09 Community
Leader in Wright Quad. I am a freshman majoring in History, and I'm
from Fort Wayne, Indiana. I really enjoy staying involved in the
community and campus, and want to extend a wide range of activities to
Hutton Honors students throughout Wright. I am an avid movie fan, and
love listening to music, like Muse, Cake, and the Killers. This year is
going to be a fun one, filled with great events.

My name is Anna Handy and I am a Community Leader in Wright. My
hometown is Indianapolis. Right now, I'm a dietetics major, but I plan
to switch to Human Development and Family Studies. Either way, I want
to end up working with people. I spent the summer as a camp counselor
in northern Indiana. Little kids, sunshine and campfires, trees and
boats and face paint, I can't think of a better combination! At IU, I'm
currently involved with Volunteers in Sustainability and I'm a math
tutor at Tri-North Middle School. Bloomington offers a cornucopia of
opportunities and resources; I am excited to facilitate an enthusiastic
honors community in Wright this year! You're welcome to email me at
aghandy@indiana.edu.

Hey, my name is Blake Koness, and I am one of the two Read
Community Leaders for the 2008-2009 school year. I am a Freshman,
currently undecided about my major, but I'm leaning towards music,
probably Vocal Performance. My hometown is Carmel, Indiana, and I
absolutely love it there. I miss my family a lot, but Bloomington is a
great place too! Well, I should probably write about my interests,
shouldn't I? Singing is probably my favorite thing to do in the world,
but I was involved in a lot of other performing arts activities in high
school as well. I did a lot of musical theatre, a lot of show choir,
and some straight theatre, and I even played in orchestra too! (I play
violin and viola). I was also very involved in my church's music
ministry at home and continue to be involved with music at church here
at IU. When I'm not making music, I love being in nature, reading
practically anything, and spending as much time as I can with my friends
and family as we stumble through this thing we call life. Anyways,
that's probably all you need to know about me for now. I'm really
excited to be a part of this program. It's an awesome opportunity, and
I hope I am able to contribute some positive things to it this year.

Hey what's up everybody! My name is Harrison Lin and I am one of the
Community Leaders for Teter this year. In high school, I was involved in
newspaper, orchestra, student government and a tutoring group so I have
a great deal of experience for this position. In addition, I also served
as a student leader for my youth group which required me to plan various
events and parties for the group. I hope the events that I help plan
this year will be fun and help Honors students get to know each other a
lot better. I have a lot of great ideas for people with all types of
interests. Feel free to contact me at hhlin@indiana.edu if you have any
questions. Let's make HHCA at Teter awesome this year!

Hello! My name is Amanda Mertsching and I'm from Dyer, Indiana, which
is about half an hour from Chicago. I am, along with my amazing partner
Erin, the Co-Community Leader for Eigenmann this year. We plan to build
on the spectacular job Hannah did last year in order to make this year
better! I'm a freshman Biology major, with interest in going to Medical
School and becoming a doctor, but I'm not quite sure what to specialize
in yet. I enjoy classes and love it here at IU! I'm a fun-loving
person who likes to be with my friends, talk on the phone, and play on
my computer. My family is also very important to me and I talk with
them daily, via text message of course. Some other random facts? My
favorite color is green, I have OCD when it comes to things being
clean/neat/tidy, and I love giraffes. Anything I missed? Please feel

My name is Daniel Miller and I am a Hutton Honors College Community
Leader for Briscoe Quad. I am a student in the Kelley School of
Business, majoring in Finance and Accounting. I am a Hoosier born and
raised, and now I am proud to be a student at Indiana University.
Running has always been something I loved. Recently, I have gotten into
table tennis and in the last few years I have become a huge movie buff.
I am trying to learn to play the harmonica but have found little time.
As a Hutton Community Leader, my goal, along with my co-leader, is to
simply increase the interaction between Hutton Honors College students
through small and large-scale social activities. I also serve as a
medium through which the HHC communicates with the Briscoe Honors
Executive Council.

My name is Jennifer Noeth. I'm a junior in the Kelley School of
Business and I am majoring in marketing. This is my third year working
with the HHCA. As an Off-campus Community Leader, I help executive
officers plan academic, social, philanthropic, and cultural events for
students living off-campus. I am also the event coordinator for the
HHCA and I'm responsible for organizing large events such as picnics,
banquets, and meetings for all honors councils across campus. In my
free time, I like to read novels and hang out with
friends!

Hi! My name is Jay Patel. I am currently a sophomore majoring in
Biochemistry BS degree and working on my LAMP certificate. I went to
Hamilton Southeastern High School when I lived in Fishers, IN but I now
reside in Aurora, OH. Last year, I was the President of the Forest
Community Council which was an amazing experience as i got to learn so
much from other council members and helped put on some successful
events. This year, I am happy to serve as Co-CL of Forest and am
genuinely excited for some of the activities our council has planned for
this year! In addition to being a part of the Forest Community Council,
I also love
to volunteer. I currently dedicate my Thursdays to the Volunteers in
Medicine Clinic located in Bloomington, IN and have enjoyed every minute
of it! I also enjoy being active by playing soccer or running with my
friends in my free time. I take pride in my alma mater, Indiana
University, and believe my experiences here will serve me well after
college life. I can be reached via email at: jaypatel@indiana.edu

I'm Kanishka Singh. As Community Leader on behalf of Teter:
Boisen, I want to
propose interesting and innovative ideas that help Hutton Honors
students not just about each other, but about their interests as well.
People have always said that college is the hinge through which we
realize our principles and goals, and start to shape the people we're
going to be as adults. I believe that the Hutton Honors Council
Association serves as a catalyst, arranging a variety of activities that
give honors students at Indiana University the opportunity to develop
and learn what excites them.
Having lived in nearly seventeen different places throughout my life,
I've come to experience first hand that there are innumerable different
things that drive and motivate individuals. I hope, through this post,
that I can bring a measure of that variety and creativity to attend to
students of all kinds.
During my time in high school, I participated extensively in overseas
volunteer projects, rehabilitation programs for foreign refugees,
international programs with the school's student government. All these
have contributed to the development of a globalized and multilateral
viewpoint I've strived for all my life. I hope, in the months to come,
to implement what I've learned through this position.

Briscoe Honors Council. I am a freshman majoring in International
Studies, but I have interests in many different fields of study. I was
born and raised in Waukegan, Illinois which is about an hour north of
Chicago. Being involved in the HHCA is my main organization currently
but I am looking forward to getting involved in many different clubs and
organizations on campus. Since the age of 4 I have been taking dance
lessons, and I am currently taking the ballet elective classes for
non-majors here at IU. I am a very fun person who enjoys having a good
time and I am looking forward to many exciting activities and events
this year.

McNutt for the 2008-2009 Year. I am a freshman at Indiana and am from

my free time I love playing any sport with friends, especially table

I do to aim towards that. In our honors council this year I look for an
exciting time in which we can build friendships and memories.
