Section 4653 MW 1:00-2:15pm HH 2006

P: Direct admit freshman or honors student with sophomore standing. Must be a Business Honors Program student or Hutton Honors College student.

The overarching goal of L293 is to make you a better business decision maker by increasing your sensitivity to legal risks and opportunities. The law will shape every transaction and interaction you will face in your career. It is my hope and intention that when you complete this course, you will have a working understanding of basic business law concepts. In addition, I hope to challenge you and help you develop critical thinking skills that will serve you wherever your career takes you.

It should be stated up front that this course is challenging. It will require you to acquire new knowledge and skills. In order to do well in this class, you must have your new knowledge readily available, from memory, to make sense of future problems and opportunities. In other words, this class will require you to really learn. Simply rereading notes and chapters will not cut for this class, you will instead have to experiment with ways to test your understanding of the material and apply it to new situations.

Credit not given for both BUS-L201 and BUS-L293. L201 is an I-Core prerequisite that is required of all business majors.
