Indiana University Bloomington FORD SCHOLARSHIP FOR PROSPECTIVE AND CURRENTLY ENROLLED HHC STUDENTS The Ford Endowed Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis by the Indiana University Bloomington HHC and are renewable. These endowed funds support undergraduate scholarships. Preference is given to minorities and women. Special consideration will be given to Ford employees, their spouses or children who apply for financial assistance. Applicants must be prospective freshmen eligible for HHC membership or current members of the HHC enrolled full-time on the Bloomington campus entering their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of undergraduate study; maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above; did not receive HHC renewable merit scholarships as incoming freshmen; and can demonstrate financial need (as reflected in their IU financial aid packages). The HHC Scholarship Review Committee selects recipients on the basis of academic performance; the quality of thinking demonstrated in the personal statement and scholarship essay; unusual circumstances, challenges, or hardships as described in the optional essay; content of the letter of recommendation; and financial need. If you are claiming a Ford Motor Company affiliation (e.g., one or both of your parents is/are currently employed by FMC), you will be required to provide written verification of this affiliation. You may obtain the Ford Employment Verification Letter template here to be submitted with your application.
Prospective IU/HHC applicants will automatically be considered
for this
merit award as part of the IU admission and selective scholarship
application process.

Applications submitted after September 15th, but still during fall term,
will be considered for a Ford Scholarship beginning in January (for
spring term and beyond).
