Get to know other Hutton Honors College students and meet members of the
HHC faculty and staff at the HHC mixer during the September 20
Coffeehouse Night @ the IU Art Museum. The museum's African art
collection will be featured, with music provided by West African hand
drummer Dr. Djo Bi. You are also invited to visit the nearby
Third Floor Conference Room, where the African Languages Program, the
Hutton International Experiences Program, Kilimanjaro Education
Outreach (KILEO), the Office of
Overseas Study, and the Swahili Flagship Program will be
contributing
exhibits of African languages, music, art, overseas study
opportunities, and HHC international experiences. Sample coffee and
sweet treats from Angles Café
and
Bloomingfoods, participate in the fun, experience African art and music,
and meet new people! No need to sign up. Just stop by and enjoy!
The museum invites you as well to its other two
Coffeehouse Nights, which will also feature the fusion of
coffee, art, music, and more! Enjoy
coffee samples and sweet treats compliments of Angels Café and
Bloomingfoods, in-gallery entertainment, and inspiring works of art from
different times and places. Participate in an art scavenger hunt to
receive prizes. Each night one of the museum's permanent galleries will
be featured.
-September 13, 7-9 p.m.: Arts of Asia and the Ancient Western World
featuring traditional Middle Eastern music by Salaam.
-September 27, 7-9 p.m.: Art of the Western World featuring
hurdy-gurdy music by Tomás Lozano.
